Dhruv Jurel took a remarkable catch on the fourth day of the first Test between India and Australia in Perth during the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy on Monday.
With Jurel’s marvellous effort, India got their eighth wicket with Mitchell Starc departing for 12. India took the next two wickets in a short while and went on to register a famous win by 295 runs at the Optus Stadium.
The dismissal occurred off the bowling of Washington Sundar in the 54th over of the innings. Starc edged a delivery that sent the ball travelling at a speed of 40 km/h toward Jurel. Demonstrating sharp reflexes and exceptional skill, Jurel latched onto the ball with precision, completing the catch and sending Starc back to the pavilion.

India had opted to bat first in the series opener and were bowled out for just 150 runs in their first innings. However, they looked lethal with the ball and took a first-innings lead of 46 runs after dismissing the hosts for just 104 runs in their first innings.
The visitors capitalised on the improved conditions for batting and posted a mammoth total of 487/6 before declaring their second innings. Yashasvi Jaiswal smashed the Aussie bowlers all around the park and played a memorable knock of 161 runs. Virat Kohli too found his touch and scored his much-awaited 30th Test hundred.
